i'm a student

heya

yeah - that's right. i'm a student again. it's weird, crazy, and fun all at the same time. i've started working at the u of l library just to keep some of my other costs down but considering how boring you'd think that working at a library would be...it's right on the mark. but it's low energy, convenient, and no stress. and actually, it doesn't pay half bad.

classes? sport psychology, leadership skills development, coaching in sport. and here's the most unbelievable part....

wait for it....

i have to coach atleast 20 hours of SOCCER! i've hit rock bottom. a round baller sport...and it's not even a court sport...those i actually like...but it's a bonafide ROUNDBALL sport. sick. but then again - i'm coaching like 4 and 6 year olds. i'm sure it will just be an hour a week of hanging out with kids.

i'll be fine. but if you feel compelled to send flowers, condolences, chocolates (dark only please), carepackages, movies from the approved list, booster juice coupons, etc....i will not turn away your sympathy.

rugby is awesome. it's so much fun. yeah i was nervous about going but i guess this ol' girl hasn't lost it after all. i feel like i've improved even over these last few days. my body is also kinda wondering what it did to deserve all this sudden work but i'll beat it into submission. but i'm loving it. and my club team will be playing their last game up in edmonton on saturday, sept. 15th in provincials at ellerslie rugby park. time to be announced on facebook of course.

i'll leave you with my coach's new key phrase on what mindframe we should always be in while playing and going into contact...

"be violent but always undercontrol".
until next time...
peace out

Courtney!!!! I'm so excited for you -- about the coaching soccer thing!! And I'm jealous! Okay, I know you're not excited about it, but, maybe you'll learn to like the wonderful sport of soccer now too?!! Anyhoo, also wanted to say good luck this weekend -- knock 'em dead! (uh, figuratively)
