april showers...i mean...snow brings may flowers?

really?

i mean - really.

so this happened on April 27th. Almost to the day in 2003 when we had a massive dump (3 feet in 36 hours) and a tree top broke under the weight of the snow and landed on my car, denting the hood.

huge problem.

and...that huge problem happened again on the 27th. a tree (this time the whole thing fell down) and hit my car. luckily the only victim was my antenna...but my antenna had given up on life before the tree sealed its fate anyways. so no major damage but i would like to say this:

trees should stay standing.
power should stay on (ice cream does not stay icy).
snow should check its calendar and only show up in winter (this is like 3 times in 3 weeks - blah!).

yes, yes - it looked beautiful. like we were the miniature figurines in a gingerbread house scene or something. but i didn't like snow before it decided to show up in April...there's not much of a chance that i'm going to spontaneously start liking it after.

the power outage did provide some lovely community opportunities like reading the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings with our staff outloud, feeding out horse herd with our sleigh (which is actually the first time this year that we've been able to use it) and some snowball fights/wrestling.

all this said, our staff have arrived and the sun is currently shining with a solid 6 days of 20+ weather forecasted. i have worked started working 15hours days and summer schedules have breached my workspace.

i am content with this...spring has begun.
