how things all stop

i will share with you something that is truely amazing about the supercity...

thousands and thousands of people busseling (spelling probably is not correct there) around with dizzying intensity, honking, and all the languages...so many languages...

it would seem that nothing...NOTHING can stop this megawheel from turning except...

snow.

yes, snow. 5 inches of snow stops the honking, stops the people from busseling, it almost stops everything. except the skytrain - that never seems to stop. you almost have to wait until noon before people start venturing out into the white stuff around here. and slowly, every so slowly...people will emerge and risk everything by driving on...wet roads framed by...wait for it...snow.

what the heck?! and i'm still told that it's dangerous and just because i'm from alberta doesn't mean i know how to drive in the white stuff. yes - i got told that. i got told that this snow is nothing like alberta snow...it's greasy.

are you kidding me?

greasy. i'm pretty sure i've driven on greasy roads in alberta. ice, slush, wet, mildly freezing temperatures...it's called f-ing spring people! bc just gets it in january! holy crap.

well - needless to say i have ventured out on those roads and proven myself reliable to a business. i will commence operation "bring home the bacon" on thursday. stay tuned for details. i also have my first game on saturday/sunday. hooorah for things looking up.

peace out from an ever-proud alberta,
cort
