it's about time

apparently i've been on a hiatus. apparently i go on hiatuses...hiati? whatever i seem to go on every six or eight months...i'm back. i'm not going to make promises this time about being better about sticking around - about writing more - or about being a better blogfriend (similar to girlfriend...except not).

what is so funny about this whole thing is that i actually did write a huge post back in january. i had all these shiny new resolutions to keep. somewhere between 'publish post' and the post actually getting posted it went missing or was murdered in the existential world of data and ceased to exist. at that point i felt like i had given it my all - blogging and me...we broke up, took a break, decided to part ways.

but i got looking at my blog this weekend and remembered how i loved sharing stuff to whomever decided they wanted to listen. so i decided that it's about time that i got back on the horse. blogging and me...we're going to start slow and take our time. we've decided to put in some quality time and see where it goes.

as for my life...where has it been?
-St. Louis for Urbana. 17, 000 people interested or committed to missions. amazing.
-taekwondo. still going well - still trying to kick butt (and getting my own kicked in the process).
-in a ditch. that's right - i hit the ditch last thursday with casey. brutal roads and little ol' me heading to taekwondo. no, i was not part of the 54 car pile up near olds. just me through a fence. the true victim was the fence post...who will not see his life again as a fence post...probably just firewood. casey...after some repair is back on the road. we'll see how far he wants to take me. i'm still rooting for 550, 000km. we're currently at 425, 000.

where am i going?
-slave lake...more taekwondo...and a belt test after that...
-spring staff...it starts in 2 weeks. madness.
-rugby. games start in 2 weeks. i am not ready or in shape for this. i repeat - madness.

so there you have it - the catch up/make up post. i'll be around but remember - no promises. i need the freedom to be a loose canon.

until next time,
c-bear

sounds like your days are busy and full of long hours, happy that you are ok after the ditch attacked your car.
