10 reasons why i hate valentines day.
i don't have anybody special (aside from koda...but he doesn't count) to dote over me. not that i'm the doting type but sometimes it's nice to have somebody try really hard to dote on you.
roses - they die...they also cost so much more on days like these...what's the going rate in cities? $12 is the last that i heard.
chocolates...they make you fat. but i guess they're also healthy as long as you stick to the dark side. something about anti-oxidents but then again - it seems like everything has anti-oxidents including coffee.
pink. there's more pink around than on Easter. i hate pink.
boyfriend. don't got one...let's not go there.
the "i heart you" crap that is floating around.
the assumption that you need to give somebody...anybody something. appropriate colored mugs, chocolate that makes you fat...
all the reminders that i don't have a boyfriend.
the fact that on any other regular day in Sundre (bumdre) most of the restaurants are empty. today however, you have to have a reservation...otherwise you don't eat. but i guess that's not a problem because ... well - i don't have a boyfriend.
every show on the tv has the "unlikely" characters falling in love or hooking up or expressing their undying...barf to one another.
and the number 10 reason...i don't have a boyfriend.
i think the worst part about this day (aka Singles Awareness Day...it stands for SAD) is that you can't get away from it. schools sell roses, there's pink and red hearts everywhere...my mom is a postmaster in her town and she lets her office just ooze with valentines teddies and garlend...it's on tv and plastered on store windows.
it's just awesome (please note my sarcasm).
